The probiotics used in Probiotic Gut Health have been shown in numerous UK trials to be effective in helping to support healthy digestive and immune systems particularly those affected by their hectic lifestyle.
These friendly and beneficial bacteria are naturally present in our intestines but their numbers can be reduced due to modern lifestyle. Research suggests that greater numbers of these bacteria may help in supporting the immune system and digestive function. In UK trials these particular strains of Probiotic have been shown to help maintain normal intestinal function and have also been shown to help restore a balanced intestinal flora following use of antibiotics.
Prebiotics are ‘food’ for the good probiotic bacteria and stimulate the growth of the friendly bacteria and help maintain good intestinal health. The prebiotic in ‘Probiotic Gut Health’ are a type of soluble fibre which has been extracted from chicory. This means that in one product we are providing the ‘right bacteria’ with the ‘right food’ for them to grow on.
Our intestines, particularly the large intestine, are home to a community of thousands of billions of bacteria, often known as microflora.
These bacteria take up residence very soon after birth and remain with us for our entire life. Most of these bacteria are friendly and play a part in the maintenance of our health in a number of ways.
However, some are less friendly, and when we encounter circumstances such as lack of sleep, stressful lifestyle, poor diet, or the use of antibiotics, these less friendly bacteria can begin to outweigh the beneficial types.
The result is that we can feel sluggish, with periods of discomfort and bloating and also our natural defences can come under increased pressure, affecting day to day life and performance.
Probiotics are the friendliest types of bacteria that are found in our intestinal microflora, so when our digestive system needs a top up it makes sense to do this with those types of that will provide the most benefit.
Recommended use:
One capsule daily with or after food. To supplement at a higher level of 25 billion LAB4 friendly bacteria take two capsules per day with food.
